    To truly make an effective web presence, it’s important to make it grow. If affordability is an issue, start with what you can afford and build from there. It’s not a house, you don’t have to have everything in place at once. You’re better off with one page that works than 20 pages of ineffective, poorly designed nonsense.
    As far as ‘who you expect to visit’, consider your fanbase – ages, tastes, language. Write the copy to appeal to them.
    In brief, it’s not your site, it’s your fans site. Build it for them.
